Introduction

Hello Newgrounders,

I am back once again to make my monthly news post.

So recently, a lot of shit has been going on...

My Steam Account and Discord Account got hacked, long story but I'll explain it anyway.

Beginning

So, it was an average afternoon of playing Team Fortress 2 and GTA V, and then DJGreenJes messaged me on Steam, saying "hey, hey, can we talk for a minute". Me being the nice person that I am, I said of course, and let him talk with me.

He told me that somebody has purchased his CS:GO Gloves (which was a bit suspicious because he never played CS:GO) and the person had the same profile picture as me, however apparantly he did not receive the funds and accidentally reported my Steam Account.

He told me to message a Steam Admin called -Evi- to prove that nothing bad happened and that I didn't use any stolen credit cards or any stolen bank details.

The Scam Part

After a while, he finally added me back on Discord and we began talking. I explained the situation to him and he sent me a fake screenshot of what seems to be a Steam Admin control panel with a pending VAC Ban, Steam Ban, IP Ban and Community Market & Trading Ban.

Because I had over 100 games purchased on Steam, and lots of other memories, friends, messages and items on TF2, I was pretty frightened so I told him what could I do to prove my ownership.

The fake Steam Support Agent told me that to verify ownership of my account, I needed to send him my password, steam guard, credentials, etc...

Me not thinking straight and just simply being scared, I gave everything I had to him. He logged into my Discord and Steam Account.

What Happened After That

By the time he done that, I was pretty scared and began waiting for the confirmation email so I he could verify my account ownership and stuff, after it being over an hour I began crying in sadness that I just lost my Discord account with all my old nostalgic messages, groups, servers and even worse is that I lost my Steam account.

I thought I couldn't do anything until a very special person added me on Discord, and started talking to me...

Recovery

After it had been a day or two, I created a new Discord Account and Steam Account, expecting to start over and be miserable. But then, @Croude wanted to talk to me on Discord.

He thought that I was legit but I frantically convinced him that it was fake, he was also pretty upset that he lost his 8 Years of Service badge on Steam but he wasn't gonna let it slide that easy...

He messaged Steam Support (The Real One) and managed to get his Steam Account back within a couple of days, @Croude also told me what to say to Steam Support, how to contact them and how to get my account back the way he did.

I finally managed to get my Steam Account back, I also contacted Discord and it was pretty easy to get my Discord account recovered since their support methods are a lot less shitter then Steam's Shitty Support.

Aftermath

Now, everything must've been all sunshines and rainbows from then on... right? Well no...

While the hacker was on my account, he messaged all of my friends saying the exact same bullshit to them. Luckily most of my friends were a lot smarter then me and either didn't care, didn't respond or just saw right through the scam.

Unfortunately one of the victims of the Hacker's stupid ass scam was @OdetteTheAnimator07 .

Once I got my Steam account back I started chatting with everyone on my friend's list and telling them that I got hacked and whatever bullshit that my account said wasn't me.

Thank god that @OdetteTheAnimator07 and @Croude managed to get their accounts back.

I hope none of this bullshit ever happens again.

Apology

I assume that most of you who read this didn't experience the retarded scam that the hacker tried to pull off, but to who did fall for it or even just see it. I'm sorry.

I promise & hope that I never fall for these bullshit scams and that I stay more aware.

Other Stuff

Also the reason to why I don't use Newgrounds anymore or make animations and art anymore is just because I feel like I kinda fell off and so did Newgrounds as a platform.

So many of my closest friends have been leaving Newgrounds, moving on or completely changing their gender or account.

Newgrounds hasn't been that popular or engaging ever since FNF stopped being popular.

What have I been doing lately?

Mostly chilling and enjoying the start of the Summer season.

Before that I was enjoying Halloween and Christmas, having fun with friends from school, getting to know a lot of new people in real life, going outside more, becoming more mentally and physically stronger and more fit, focusing on school and getting better grades and all of that cool and fun real life stuff that actually matters in the long-term.

All I really do now is play games (not as much as I used to) and go outside and spend time with family.

Going outside is very underrated, I know there's memes of like "go touch grass bro" but spending an extended period of time outside and enjoying your life with the people who mean most to you really changes a person.

I remember a couple years ago, where I was a skinny loser who's only skill was making shitty animations in Flash and drawing ugly art with cheap and crappy free programs and being a retard on Discord.

I feel like I really ended up with a good ending, I've seen many of my colleagues be unsuccessful, becoming depressed, changing gender and wasting all of their time either on games or on pointless social media.

I hope that when you're reading this, you should seriously consider going outside. Go to the park, with a girlfriend, boyfriend, family, friends, maybe go sign up for some Football/Soccer or learn a new skill, explore your neighbourhood, get to know more people in real life, gain connections, try and make a bit of money. There's so much to do in the real world.

The reason why I'm doing monthly news posts instead of weekly, daily or just whenever I feel like it is because I still want to enjoy the nostalgic feeling of Newgrounds but also spend time outside and become a stronger person.

I may not be always on Newgrounds, but I do have Discord on my Phone and also my PC. I don't mind chatting with some new, or old friends.
